Wow — this one in from Mindi. Apparently I’ve been unplugged from the late night TV scene, because not only was Jimmy Kimmel schtupping Sarah Silverman … Matt Damon got ticked at Jimmy and he started schtupping Sarah. So Jimmy had to take something Matt loved away from him, so … well … you get this. NSFW, obviously, but (bleeping) funny. And chock full of stars!

So last weekend I had the opportunity to celebrate a good friend’s bachelor party AND a friend’s 40th birthday party in the same night. Pretty cool, eh? For the bachelor party, the other menfolk had this original idea for the groom … they had him wear a shirt, and we carried around a sharpie … and all of the hotties that came by, we talked them into signing it. Here are a few choice quotes:

  • It’s more fun than you think. EnjoyA it!
  • Have lots of babies!
  • Congrats. That sucks.
  • Mazel Tov!
  • Rest in Peace!
  • Hope you’re not as miserable as your friends think you are! Enjoy forever…
  • Marriage is 4 quitters

These are just the tame ones. :) Really tame actually, I wouldn’t roll over on the groom, no way. But here’s a pic from the festivities:
Hint: The groom’s the silly guy.

This one in from the Hooligang …

Ladies, watch out! If you think you’re entitled to the princess treatment on Valentine’s Day, you’d better think again and be on your best behavior … because he’s really thinking about taking care of the girl who’s REALLY special in his life.

SFW, and totally hilarious, and strangely true.

Guess what followed me home on Saturday …

Okay, so I drove it home, but it was sooo cute I couldn’t resist. :) Actually, I’ve been thinking about switching out the pickup for a while now, as it gets horrendous mileage and it’s very tough to find parking for it in the city (it was so long). I did a lot of research into fuel economy, towing capacity, comfort, physical dimensions, etc etc, and it came down to the Ford Escape and the Subaru Forester. After test driving 3 Escapes and 3 Foresters, of different years, and looking at price vs features vs everything else, I now have a Ford again.

She handles so nice. And Saturday night when I went into the city, I saw a spot right by my destination, a spot I couldn’t fit in with the Ranger, and the Escape just slid in with a foot to spare. Dayum.

So wish me luck with her! There are more pics on Flickr, here.

Or, “boy howdy, was I worried.” :) Saturday I took my National EMT cert refresher exam, and I was resting a bit on my laurels having worked the past 2 years, 1x/wk. Instead of studying. When I got there, the questions were quite hard … so I was freaking a bit. But it was an adaptive computer-based test, which means if you do well and you answer right, you answer less questions, but progressively harder questions. I was out of there in 20 minutes so either I had failed or done really well!

News today:

Exam Date: 2/2/2008 1:49:00 PM (CST)
Results Date: 2/4/2008 9:54:00 AM (CST)
Examination Scored
CONGRATULATIONS! You have successfully demonstrated continued cognitive competency by examination.

It’s nice to be cognitively competent. :)
