In other moos, I suck. :) Haven’t posted up here in way too long. In my defense, I’ve been busy, what with finals (I did well, thank you) and work and EMTing and Xmas shopping (best gift given: Rock Band for the 360, which I must buy for myself!) and catering for the Hunter PHPB Holiday Party. For that one, the day after my last final, I spend the whole day cooking, and made 9 dishes. It was a big success. All of the recipes came from the Food Network, and I made hummus, guacamole, bruschetta with mozzarella, pad thai, sugar cookies, a wild rice salad, a baked brie en croute with walnuts and cinnamon and brown sugar (it went quick), sausage bites, and a few other things. It’s been a good semester for cooking. :)

And then it was home to PA for Christmas … got to see Mom and the fam, and spent all night Sunday rehearsing with Jeff. We ended up taking the band to Europe for a world tour. Go ahead, ask us what our band name is …

Now, it’s Duck season. I’m off to the OBX for plenty of hot tubbing!

Tonight’s menu: A pop of flavor with some broiled chili-marinated pork chops, steamed broccoli, and leftover (frozen) fingerling / sweet potato mix from when I baked that whole chicken a while ago. 20 minutes to flavor explosion. Now, on to baking! I’m hoping to make some Christmas cookies tonight, we’ll see if I don’t burn the place down. :)

Go Amazon! Well, you still might want to limit your kids’ browing on Amazon.com. Anyway. NSFW, that’s “not safe for work” … recently the web site put up an adult personal massage / Adult Romantic Enhancement device, on the front page of their heath & beauty page or some such. And oh the outcries of dismay!

It’s not quite up there with the Golden Compass, but still. The link here is to the discussion, not the product, and I saw the discussion title when shopping and just HAD to click.
